All that jazz

01 March 2012: Gonna have to start learning All That Jazz from the Chicago production... I will be singing and doing some dance moves along with a group of girls in my pole dancing class for the Pole Dance Showcase at the Artscape this year. It's always been a dream of mine to perform at the Artscape... and now it's going to happen :D

26 February 2012: We saw a movie called This Means War - I thoroughly enjoyed it! It was really funny, and unpredictable, go see it for yourself :D

No use crying over spilt milkshake!

26 February 2012: So Harvey took me out to see a movie on Sunday evening and we had some time to kill. We ended up having milkshakes at Spur but the waitress dropped both our shakes all over our table... Harvey didn't want me to take a pic, bleh! The funny part was that the cleaning ladies thought Harvey and I spilt it... why on earth would BOTH of us spill our own shakes? Bizarre, but shame, I felt sorry for the waitress :(

Schick... so slick, and so sick

26 February 2012: So I bought myself a Schick razor and when I got home I was most upset. I bought the razor, which comes with 2 blades and this cost me about R34... so I decided to get an extra pack of blades for R42... so naturally, because it cost more, I didn't notice the pack only had 3 blades instead of 5 like I thought it would! And they very cleverly hid the "3" underneath the blades, and the empty blades are very cleverly hidden behind the packaging! Aaaaargh! Can't believe I fell for this stoopid consumer con. Dammit! Why the HELL are the blades more than the razor... I may I well buy a new razor each time and save myself R8! Bleh.

25 February 2012: At Hooters they make you do a funny dance while standing on a table. Please remind me not to go to Hooters on my birthday! Oh and in this pic, the birthday girl was dressed as a Playboy bunny - check it out on the left there.

Hooters and virgin issues

25 February 2012: Yeah, so after the launch, Mish and I wanted to go somewhere and we decided to go to Hooters in Edward Street. Much to her dismay, she thought Hooters was Teasers... HAHA! It's really a bit of a family retaurant bar vibe though. The girl we met came along with us and we had good old girly chats and fun. We ordered Virgin Strawberry Dacquiri's but it had Vodka in it... so yeah, I got tipsy on an empty tummy but eventually the barman apologised and brought us the virgin dacquiris we ordered in the first place. But yeah, good fun!

Down the road

25 February 2012: Yay! So Vertical Secrets finally opened a studio in the Bellville area and it's literally down the road from where I live - it's a 5-minute drive, maybe even less! So excited to start taking intermediate classes there :) I attended the launch with my good friend, Mish and we met another girl there. We had some good fun messing around on those poles!

24 February 2012: So there's a shoot happening outside our work building... looks like they're trying to sexy up some paint brand. Anyhoo, there were hot models down there and I whispered... "I wish I were skinny like those models" and my colleague retorted "No, Ray. You don't wish you were skinny. You wish you were skinny with big boobs!" LOL

In the zone

24 February 2012: So, I finally signed up to Zone Fitness gym at Cape Quarter. A nice way to skip traffic and get a good workout! Unfortunately my debit card got swiped twice when I paid the membership fee and I'm still waiting for them to re-imburse me... if they don't, Hello Peter :) Hahaha. Anyhoo, my assessment is happening at 7am on Monday morning. As Virgin would say... happily ever active.

Harvey generously offered his big screen TV and surround sound so we could watch the Within Temptation Black Symphony concert live... if they have another one like this... I AM SO THERE! 18 February 2012: So it was my dad's 51st birthday yesterday (17 February) and he called some family and friends to come over for a laka braai and also to use the bar he built with his own hands for the first time... officially :)
