Lunch for my love
28 March 2012: Packed in some lunch for Ricardo... I have a strange feeling his going to make coffee and eat it for breakfast! LOL
Minimalism
27 March 2012: Finally got a decent multi plug and look how organized my lounge is compared to what it looked like before! It was like I had a tangled mess of technical snakes in the corner. Thanks to Ricardo for setting this up for me <3
Chicken soup for my soul
26 March 2012: Made my first chicken soup from scratch! And it tastes AMAZING... just the right amount of hearty goodness I need for this emotionally draining day <3

26 March 2012: Wow. Today has been an emotionally draining day for me. My mom called me early the morning to announce that my Pa Faan is really sick and she needed someone to bring my dad to the hospital. I had this feeling that I had to go too - so I left work, fetched my dad at his work, and went straight to the hospital. I needed to go to the bathroom really badly when we got there and in a way it was a blessing... you'll understand why soon. By the time I got to the ward where my Pa was lying he had just gone. He left as soon as he saw my dad. The exact same thing happened with Ma Sally when she died many years ago... as soon as my dad arived at the hospital from work, she passed. I went up to him, took his still warm hand and squeezed it, as I reached down to kiss it his body vibrated and he let out a breath of air... his last breath. At that point I thought he was still alive and I got such a fright! But my aunt assured me... no it's okay, it's okay. In some way I feel happy for him... somewhat relieved that his in a much better place - back with Ma Sally. We miss you Pa Faan Cummies <3
Tomato soup
25 March 2012: Yes, I made my first home made tomato soup - no recipes just pure intuition. And the family loved it!
Shopping these days is REDICULOUS!

23 March 2012: This is my favourite photo of Ricardo and myself on the ferris wheel at the carnival. It was pretty scary! At one point Ricardo rocked the chair back and forth and the ride operator yelled at us to sit still and then he asked if we are READY TO DIE?! lol

16 March 2012: Alone at home on a Friday night so I decided to take it easy and rent The Time Traveler's Wife for some girly me-time under the covers. What a movie! So badly want to read the book after watching the making of this movie.

Danger!
13 March 2012: Ate tuna from a tin... but aparantly it's really poisonous to eat straight from a tin. Doesn't make sense though - why would they store it in a tin for so long then? But I'll rather be safe than sorry :)

Starlite evening
11 March 2012: Spent all afternoon at Harvey's familia for lunchies (the food was a-mazing). Then we went to visit my grandpa in the hospital. After that, I didn't feel like going home, felt going out for cocktails or coffee out on a balcony somewhere. We decided to go to Starlite Diner. It was awesome... the old music... like Natalie Imbruglia and such. Made the two of us reminisce about everything and just brought us closer together <3 P.S. Sorry, it was dark and my BlackBerry doesn't have a flash, LOL!

"It hurts to be beautiful"
10 March 2012: I cannot believe parents would do this to their little girls... so much make-up and pressure placed on looks... one girl even recited a piece of advice from her mom: "It hurts to be beautiful". What the - ?! Don't they know that make-up and tanning is what causes wrinkles at a later stage? That's why some girls look older than they are - it's when they get "old fashioned" too early on in life. I'm glad I was a late bloomer - at least now I look younger than I actually am!
