I'm a Yuppiechef
29 September 2011: Finally used my R100 gift voucher from Yuppiechef (got this in my Girl Geek Dinner goodie bag in July)... and decided to get some awesome steak knives for my new house :) And I must say, the Yuppiechef online shop is one of the most beautiful-looking and user-friendly online shopping experiences I've ever had. I even tweeted this and they tweeted back. How's that for brand consciousness. They are on the ball and I'm loving it! Can't wait for my package to arrive... *rubs hands together in excitement*
Good and clean and fresh!
29 September 2011: Bought 6 months worth of cleaning products form a factory store for R130. Can you say Bargain!
Fucking Trucking
29 September 2011: Drove past this truck... what crazy branding - the logo is an "F" and then it says TRUCKING right next to it... looks like FUCKING! LOL

Neti Pot
27 September 2011: So I decided to get myself a neti pot... it's an all-natural method of cleansing the nasal passages and is really amazing for those suffering from sinusitus... such as myself - of course - especially this time of the year! I tried it for the first time and even though it felt weird and uncomfortable and just plain strange... I think this is going to work and it's going to save me a helluwe lot of money on antihistamines!
Sunday lunch vibes on a Monday
26 September 2011: So my mom reckons that seen as this is my last week at home she'd prepare me a lovely Sunday lunch dinner on a Monday... nom nom nom.
Nachooooooooooooos!
25 September 2011: Harvey and I decided to go to Beauna Vista. We had nachos... reminiscent of our very first date <3
What a gem :)
25 September 2011: Kylie loves making herself useful and today she did lots - she mopped the lounge, swept the patio and raked the grass!

Level 3 baby!
24 September 2011: So I finally graduated to Level 3 :D Bring on the inverts! Let's defy gravity! LOL
What a kak day
23 September 2011: First of all, got stuck in a major traffic jam. The N1 was completely closed off at Plattekloof AND Giel Basson! To make matters worse, I had cramps and needed the bathroom... and even worse, I could feel my period coming. When I finally got to work, I ran to Spar to buy pads but by the time I got to the toilet, my entire jeans was covered in red. I burst into tears. After mustering up the courage to go to walk back to work, feeling utterly uncomfortable and disgusting... I had to drink sugar water to calm myself down. They had to cancelled my training session with a client that morning and sent me home to bath and rest. Harvey was very worried and he came to my house to console me... don't I just have the best boyfriend in the world? I came back to work after lunchtime but felt very out of it. Why does being a female have to be so damn painful!
The fresh princess of Bellair!
22 September 2011: Went to checkout a potential new place... and found this amazing cottage in Bellair... such a beautiful area.

Go Scotland! I mean South Africa!
22 September 2011: Watching the match between South Africa and Namibia in the dev studio... had this cute little TV setup :) Reason I said GO SCOTLAND! is because I'm part of a betting pool where I drew Scotland as the winner of the Rugby World Cup 2011... not sure I'm gonna win this one, bleh.

Songbird ring
20 September 2011: My new colleague, Tammy, got me this awesome ring! It's a songbird vibe. LOVE it!
So over it
19 September 2011: Ordered a sub and pizza for lunch on my kekelez* day (i.e. we got the day off work) and it was so gross. I think my body is finally realizing that eating junk food isn't on anymore. So I found myself craving juice and apples. Hope it keeps up because I need to make a change here!
*to do nothing
*to do nothing
So they had poles!
18 September 2011: I tweeted in the week that I'm glad Trinity doesn't have any poles because goodness knows what I'll get up to after one or two glasses of wine. Anyhoo, so we get there, and there are FOUR friggin' poles! And in the pic above, my dears... that is the legendary Miss Tracey Simmonds! She's a Jenyne Butterfly buzz... a true inspiration for me :)
Loeries Official After Party at Trinity, Cape Town
18 September 2011: That's what I wore to the Loerie Awards... awesome event! My agency walked away with about 10 Loeries... amazing stuff!
Sundowners at Caprice, Camps Bay
17 September 2011: So it's Loeries weekend and my work treated us to sundowners and snacks at Caprice, Camps Bay. Turns out Janez Vermeiren (Top Billing presenter) was a good friend of one of my colleagues. Janez's hot Brazillian girlfriend - forgot her name - encouraged me to touch his chest, WTF! Awesome evening :)
Spa day
17 September 2011: Decided to book myself into Arabella Spa again. Just needed some me-time and de-stress time. It was heavenly. I'm considering doing this every second month.
Falling Skies in the car
16 September 2011: While Harvey and I were waiting on our pizza order we sat in the car and watched Falling Skies on his new phone.

Duck penis
14 September 2011: Had a koeksister this morning... yes. It looks like a duck's penis. I know. 'Cause I've seen it with my own eyes!
In a galaxy far, far away
13 September 2011: So Harvey got himself the new Samsung Galaxy S II... what a user friendly mobile with sleek interface design. Gorgeous. I so badly want this phone but I'm on a budget-cut-down buzz... no more contracts!

Peartiser
12 September 2011: Had a craving, so I got it. And people kept thinking I was drinking on the job! LOL. And dammit I wish I took a pic of it... but I bought Sue & Aslam a cute little Snuggle Bunny for Baby Levy... it was sooo soft I nearly decided to keep it for myself. That night I met the little baba... what a beautiful angel! So tiny and so precious. I held her for a while and even though I felt very nervous I think I did pretty well. I really hope that natural motherly instinct kicks in for me one day when I have a baby, because right now I am scared as hell.
Final Destination
11 September 2011: So I had 2 braais on Friday, 1 yesterday, and another one today. So I basically have braai coming out of my ears. Today is also a special day... it's my granny's birthday and also the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks... wow, time flies hey? Anyhoo, when we got to Killarney, we got a spot right by the track which was a great view, but just as we arrived, Harvey accidentally knocked the chair against my lip, and not to long after... some dude came speeding on the track, he spun towards us but luckily the grass caused some friction so he could slow down... that could have ended badly. The whole scenario was like a Final Destination moment... imagine that car had to fly towards us and we all died? Massacre I tell you. Anyhoo, we had a lovely afternoon. After that we popped in at Mish's house and finally got to spend time with her and Lee. It was awesome :)
Birth Day Day
10 September 2011: So it's my good friend Mish's birthday today... and also got news that my other good friend, Sue, gave birth to her beautiful baby girl! Can't wait to meet the little bugger :) This pic above, was me wrapping Mish's gift and Harvey had the idea to tag each jewellery item (Bead-a-liscious Accessories, by the way - courtesy of my other good friend, Anthea) - anyhoo, so we named the bracelet "A Kakamas Birth Ring", the necklace "The Necklace of Inevitability", and the earrings "Nigerian Mermaid Earrings"... LOL! And what's nice is that the colour is Coral... accorging to trend forecasters the colour for summer this year is Coral. Ah, bless.
Plants versus Zombies
10 September 2011: That afternoon we came home and found my mother sitting in front of the laptop playing Plants versus Zombies... I hear this game is so addictive and to see my mom jumping on the bandwagon is insane! Ah, the Digital Age.
The craving has spoken
10 September 2011: After China Town we popped in at Canal Walk to support Harvey's brother, Marco, at the Rock The Runway show. It was Settlers High's turn to rock the runway and Marco sang Grease Lightning. I do have some pics of the show but my camera is being stubborn and am unable to copy the pics to my PC so I could upload it to this blog *sigh* but know this, it was awesome. Before the show, Harvey and I had some lunch - pizza - at Panarottis... I had a craving for pizza because I've been working on their site for the past week and seeing those lovely pizzas just made my mouth water. And I've got to say... the craving has spoken. That coupled with my new love for white Grapetiser... it's the weeeekend baby!
China Town
10 September 2011: So I went with Harvey went to China Town - it was Harvey's first time at this one (for some reason I have Madonna's "Like A Virgin" stuck in my head, wonder why?) - the one behind Canal Walk in Sable Square. As you can see, the car shop is filled with gadgets.
Solar Max
10 September 2011: So while Harvey waited for his windows to be tinted, I went to my first private pole dance/ fitness lesson just up Koeberg Road. When I came back, I saw this beauty :)
Nothing like a good muffin early in the morning
10 September 2011: On our way to drop Harvey's car off at a window-tinting/ smash-n-grab workshop in Montague Gardens, we drove past this place called "Just Muffins" and got us some amazing blueberry muffins for breakfast.

Nkosi Si'kelele!
09 September 2011: So it's the Rugby World Cup opening today and everyone's wearing the green and gold... but I am, however, wearing the Rainbow Nation... it's what my colleagues dubbed The Nkosi Si'kelele outfit :)

08 September 2011: Pink, white polka dots and turquoise butterflies. Put them together and you create something magical :) Got myself a new coffee mug to make my coffee drinking experience more enlightening.

Crazy discovery
07 September 2011: So I filled in my forms for Discovery Health medical aid while I was sick this weekend and noticed today that I have checked the "MALE" box... what was I thinking?! Clearly, we shouldn't be doing any "work" while we're sick. LOL!

Sparkly tree
06 September 2011: I kinda have one of these awesome wire trees and this is a brilliant idea... to hang all my jewellery from it! With some good lighting this could become a focal point in my room... all I need is a pedastal.
The Middle
05 September 2011: I'm done with Modern Family *tear* ... so now I have to make friends with a new family in The Middle.
Brows
04 September 2011: I have this thing with my eyebrows. Anyway, my sister suggested I grow them out and she would resculpt them for me. They look so full and thick now and then she ordered me this eyebrow pencil from Avon to make them even fuller and darker... love it!
Modern Family
03 September 2011: Been watching Modern Family all day in bed and they're also sickies in bed like me. That's Claire and her daughter, Hayley.
Soup, 'cause I'm sickies
02 September 2011: So I've been sick with flu and in bed ALL day and had no appetite, so the only thing I was be able to get down was soup... and guess who walked into my room that Friday evening with a bowl of amazing vegetable soup and bread? Harvey <3 I officially have the most awesomestest boyfriend in the world.
